Allison Transmission history

Allison Transmission is the world’s largest manufacturer of automatic transmissions for commercial vehicles and off-road applications. These automatic transmissions are developed for more than 300 leading world manufacturers of equipment and are used for the following sectors of the market – buses, rescuers and utilities, builders and dispensers of products, military and oil workers.

Allison Transmission was formed by James A. Allison back in 1915 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Initially, the company produced racing cars, designed aircraft engines and produced parts for them, and later introduced the world to powerful automatic transmissions.

The model range consists of about a dozen series of automatic transmissions. All series are a gamut of thousands of modifications.

At the moment, the early series is still working on different techniques and mechanisms:

  • AT500, MT600, MTB600, HT700, HTB700, CLT700, CBT700, CLBT700, B300, B400, B500
Allison

From the modern series, you can meet everywhere with the following series of automatic transmissionAllison:

  • 1000, 2000, 3000 (MD 3000), 4000 (HD 4000), T270, T280, T310, T325, T425, T525, 5000, 6000 (M, S, CT, CLT, CLBT, VCLBT, VCLT), 8000, 9000 .

The guarantee of long-term, reliable operation of automatic transmissions is the use of original consumables, liquids in accordance with recommended standards and specifications, as well as compliance with the intervals for the replacement of filters and liquids.
